  Zombie Jesus! makes U.S. premiere at Salem Film Festival
Pigeonfilm Productions' award-winning short film Zombie Jesus! will have its U.S. Premiere at the Salem Film Festival in Salem, Oregon. Catch it screening as part of the "Night Camp" shorts package on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11.00 pm at the Salem Cinema. More information can be found on the Zombie Jesus! website.
 
       
  Kingston Canadian Film Festival names Zombie Jesus! a Best Short
In March at the largest single showcase of Canadian films in the country, Pigeonfilm Productions filmmakers Steve Miller and Jason Wagar were awarded a Local Short award for Zombie Jesus!. The film screened in front of growing cult favourite Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, starring Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street series).
 
       
  Zombie Jesus! picks up HSBC Canada Filmmakers' Award for Best Film
Undead moans turned to cheers in a ceremony at Ryerson University in November as writer/director Steve Miller and producer Jason Wagar were awarded the HSBC Canada Filmmakers' Award for their thesis film Zombie Jesus!. Congrats also go to Zombie Jesus! cinematographer Kristina Durst, who took home the Natalie McDonald Memorial Award for her film The Nastiworths.
 
       
  Toronto After Dark Film Festival audiences crave Zombie Jesus!
A zombie army shuffled its way from Trinity-Bellwoods Park to the Bloor Cinema in Toronto in October 2007 to become part of a sold-out crowd to see Zombie Jesus! screen before Automaton Transfusion at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival. Director Steve Miller and Producer Jason Wagar walked away with the bronze Audience Choice Award for Best Canadian Short Film. More brains!
 
       
  Erez Bowers: Best Actor at the YoungCuts Film Festival for Zombie Jesus!
Congratulations to Erez Bowers for picking up the Best Actor award for his role as Isaac in Zombie Jesus! at the YoungCuts Film Festival in Montreal in August 2007! His hilarious performance beat out four other fantastic roles to win the award, and with it, an Avid Express Pro software package. The film also garnered nominations for Best Special Effects and Best Film at the festival, and was selected for a special Best of Festival Retrospective screening.
 
       
  Zombie Jesus! premieres at RUFF: Ryerson University Film Festival
Eight months of blood, sweat, and brains paid off in May 2007 when Zombie Jesus! screened before a sold-out audience as a part of RUFF (Ryerson University Film Festival). The audience-pleasing hit was a highlight of the night and shared the screen with many fantastic final-year thesis film projects of Ryerson University's School of Image Arts film program. Congratulations to everyone involved on a year well-done and the best RUFF yet!
